Relative Measured Volatility

1 min read

RMV represents the recent price tightness compared to normal. The Data Point comes in 5, 10, 15, and 20-day variants. The output is a number between 100 and 0, with closer to 0 meaning tighter price action. This data point updates every minute.

RMV can be used to look for stocks developing tight areas on screens as well as to sort a list by tightness as a data point.

Deepvue has two preset screens incorporating RMV: Power and Tightening and Tight Ranges.

Be aware that if there has been a recent volatility spike, such as a gap up/down, normal price action will be highlighted as tightening.
