You can set a price alert through a variety of methods:
- Right-click: On the chart, right-click then select Add Alert
- Hot Key: Use Alt+A (Windows) or Option+A (Mac)
- Quick Access Menu: In the data table, click on the company logo to view the quick access menu, then select Add Alert
- Notifications Panel: Open the notifications panel, click the Alerts tab, then select + Create Alert
Utilizing any of these methods to set an alert will open the create alert panel. Here you can set the alert type, add additional conditions, select duration, add an optional note and choose how you want to be notified when the alert triggers
Note: If you set the duration to one-time, the alert will be deleted once it is triggered.
After you have entered the details for your alert, click Create. The price alert will appear on the chart as a dashed orange line. The alert will also appear in the alerts tab in the Watchlist module.
To edit the alert you can click on the pencil icon in the alerts tab in the Watchlist module or click on the alert on the chart. This will open the edit alert panel where you can edit your alert.
If the alert has been previously triggered, reactivate it by clicking Restart icon. When you are done editing your alert, click save.
Note: Triggered alerts change to a grey dashed line instead of orange.
To delete an alert, you can either delete it from the alerts tab in the Watchlist module by selecting the alert with the checkbox, then clicking the trashcan icon. Alternatively, you can click on the alert, then click delete in the edit alert panel. Deleting a price alert deletes the alert as well as the dashed line from your chart.
